other plugins within articles used in magic tabs 1 Year, 4 Months ago
Hello moderator/developer,

First of all my compliments for the nice plugin you created. I am very pleased with the result on our website (for a school in Belgium), but I noticed that syntax codes of other plugins in articles that I use in magic tabs do not display what they should display. If I use the articles without magic tabs, the other plugins on the page do their job perfectly. I want to display a picture gallery (Ignite Gallery) in the article, but only the syntax shows (see attached picture). I tried to change the order of the plugins, without any effect.

I have attached a picture of the webpage. The plugin code that does not work is at the bottom of that page.

I have used a different way to show the articles on the site now, so that's why I can only give you an image. Is that enough information to help me out?

Bottomline of my question: if I insert articles in an article using magic tabs, other plugins in those articles fail to function properly.

I have uses some magic tabs for articles that have no other plugins. (for example: sul.campussintursula.be/index.php/blikva...nderwijs/aso-profiel )

Looking forward to your answer!

Thanks in advance,

Jurgen

Hi Jurgen,

Please make sure that the plugin ordering is actually changed and the "Ordering" field does not show "0".

When you move the {gallery ...} syntax to the middle of Magic Tabs plugin, it still does not work?

In fact there is no reason why other plugins should stop working just because there is Magic Tabs plugin loaded in article.

Bye.

Thanks for your quick reply! I am probably doing something wrong then in the ordering of the plugins. Do I change the order in the plugin manager of the magic tabs plugin itself? if I click on the ordering dropdown menu, I see a lot of the plugins I installed, but a lot of them start with a zero and I have no idea how I can prevent the ordering field showing those zereoes. Some of the plugins start with another number. I have no idea how these numbers are determined.
As you can see, I am a very unexperienced Joomla-user. I would be very grateful if you could give me an extra clue about the ordering.

PS: If I put the syntax of the gallery in the middle of the article, still the same result! (but I did not change the ordering of the plugins of course)

regards,

Jurgen

Hi, Magic Tabs plugin has no privileges to change the plugin ordering. "Zero" is a Joomla! way how to deal with extensions ordering (but to be honest I don't know how the process is handled).

Please change the plugin ordering first (on Plugin Manager site).
At first I recommend you to set the "- Select type -" filter to "content", then click on "Ordering" row in result table header. Then you can manipulate with ordering to way you prefer.

I hope it helps.

Bye.

That seems to do the trick indeed!

The main image of the gallery is positioned terribly, but that has got nothing to do with the magic tabs, I suppose. I will have to check the setting of the Ignite gallery profiles.

Thanks for your support!
