JQuery Conflict? 1 Year, 1 Month ago
Hi,

I installed today the new Version of your great Magic Tabs Plugin. I have used it already in Joomla 1.5 - it works fine for 2 years!

Now I am relaunching the site with Joomla 2.5. And after installing the new Magic Tabs Plugin and the Scriptegrator Plugin, I copied the HTML-code from my Joomla 1.5 page (it is still the same syntax, isn't it?).

But, the tabs are not displayed, I get only a list-view for the captions and my firebug shows the following error:

$("#cdmagictabs_ebyrd").tabs is not a function

I guess, this is a jQuery conflict? Am I able to fix it on my own?

Thank you for your answer!

Hi, it's probably a script conflict.
In case you need more help please send me some link to your demo page.
I can't help you without seeing your website. Thank you.

Am I able to fix it on my own?Change template first. If does not help, disable all 3rd party extensions (start with plugins).

Bye.

Hi Daniel,

thank you for your reply. Changing the template is not an option. Another possibility would be greate. Here is my URL

By "change your template" I meant just for test purposes.

The following script is duplicated:
/templates/ja_elastica/js/jquery/jquery-1.6.4.min.js

I can only recommend you to enable "Cleaners" functionality in Scriptegrator plugin configuration and then fill the "Custom JS" textarea field with the path above.

Of course your template scripts must be compatible with the newest version of jQuery library distributed by Scriptegrator.

Bye.

Ok, you are right. With another template there is no conflict and your tabs works fine. I am not sure what to do now ..

Bye.
