I'm incredibly new to Joomla and all the plugins, extensions, and process. I really want to get this photo contest plugin to work on my site, but I don't know how to access it from the front end. I'm baffled at this point. Please help?

Hi, you have to login on your frontend via user page or login module.
In regards to creating a menu item related to login page or publishing the login module I can only recommend you to search on official Joomla! website or in documentation.

Unfortunately I think Joomla! is not that easy for beginners (just my opinion).

I found my issues and have gotten it to work as far is being able to submit and vote photos. Experience will tell me if I run into further issues. My problem was in the permissions tab. Everything else was set up just fine.
